Default How to do Oil Analysis

Ok guys I started using AMSOIL about 10,000 miles ago, and just did my first Oil Analysis today. One of the reasons I chose to use AMSOIL is because of this option. They do Oil Analysis to help inform people of what's going on inside their motors and to basically save them money by telling people if their oil is still good or not.

Hope this simple but very affective procedure is helpful to you.

What you need are these two kits:

    Inside of Kit02 is:

This kit is pretty simple just fill out the information. On the big sheet of paper it tells you what goes in all the blanks and how to properly fill it out. If I can do it you can do it :rof

    Inside of G-1206 is:

In the G-1206 kit there should be enough hose so you can do two Oil Analysis. This kit is pretty much just the pump that you can use multiple times on different vehicles.

From here its pretty simple I didn't take pictures of this part because of how simple it is. You take the pump

and out of Kit02 you screw the smaller clear/white plastic bottle onto the bottom of the pump. Pull your dip stick out and measure about a foot longer with the clear/white plastic hose (Out of G-1206) and cut (the hose not dip stick). You then take the clear/white plastic hose and run it down the dip stick hole until you feel it hit bottom (then again you may not hit bottom if you do back it out a little) leave enough hose out so you can slide it into the brass knob at top. Take the black rubber cap and cover the nipple. (In picture its to the left just above thumb). Now start pumping, fill the white/clear bottle all the way up. When your finish throw away the hose.

Take your sample put the lid on it (You can put a little tape on it to ensure it don't come off). Out of Kit02 the label you filled out attach it to the clear/white plastic bottle with the oil in it. Then drop that bottle into the black bottle. Take the supplied prepaid UPS label and attach it to the grey blank return package. Now separate the paper with you name and info on it and slide it in the return package along with the black bottle which should have you clear/white oil sample in it. You keep the other half which should have the analysis number and website which you can track everything from.

Now off to the UPS store or drop box
