I don't like those MLM schemes...
The MLM business model is only a marketing model. Trusting the promotion of their products to the general public and helping individuals build their own success; "give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime."
It is not the business model that has given MLM to be perceived as negative by those that experience them. It is the fact that a lot of unscrupulous individuals have attempted to take advantage of and use the model itself as a basis for their own pursuit of glory and riches. I have been rated 100% total and permanently disabled by the Veteran's Administration since 2002. As a result I began then to look into alternative means of supplementing my income and got ALL caught up in the possibilities perceived when presented with other MLM companies. (I will not mention the names of the other companies I have worked with) However, when working with these other companies, although their business models were solid, they lacked proper training and in some cases (some of those companies were in and out of business within 2-3 years) the founding members of the companies were unethical in their business practices which led to actions being taken by the FTC.
I had already stopped dealing with MLM and begun building an online aftermarket automotive products business when I figured out that Amsoil operated with an MLM marketing structure. After research into the company, coupled with the fact that their main product line fit my personal skill set and experience, while ALSO falling right inline with the business I was already operating, the opportunity took on an entirely new light.
I became an Amsoil dealer and included their products in my online promotions within a year my Amsoil sales became the backbone supporting revenue source that my business depended on.
I can go on and on, but I will end with this, regardless of the negative perspective a lot of folks have concerning the MLM business model; Amsoil Inc. is a legitimate market leader in their respective fields of operation. They were the first company to meet API certifications while also being the first company to offer 100% synthetic lubricants to the automotive industry. Amsoil has a well documented history of leading the development of newer and better products for every application that requires mechanical lubricants.
The only difference between Amsoil and other oil companies is the fact that Amsoil does not depend on company sponsored radio and television ads. Mobile, Castrol, Valvoline and most other companies out there depend on that type of advertising to get their products out there. Amsoil depends on it's dealers.
