I just went back to the 15W-40 D&M Synthetic Blend. It has only been in for about 500 miles but the Dmax is running quieter than with the 5W-40 CJ-4 Full Synthetic oil. I have an 06 LBZ 4" straight piped, but otherwise stock with no emissions stuff. The oil also looks as clean as the day I changed it. The 5W-40 always got real black between changes (typical diesel). We will see how it goes.

I hate to say this since I was the dealer that took your last order, but that is the issue I had with the CJ-4 oil, I am not sure if it is the lower TBN or the additive package or whatever; but unfortunately it looks like it is not protecting as well as it should. I know the report said to change it and retest at the same interval, but personally I would flush, change and retest within 5-7500k miles. The reason is because of the fact that if it is allowing wear, you need to find out sooner rather than later.
